Tangle of Threads

The needles have been flying, the scissors snipping. Fabric is laying all over my sewing room floor like gauze & rubber gloves on an operating room floor.
Whew. . . what a whirlwind of stiching I have been doing in December.

Starting with a commissioned piece of work. "Can you make a Pink bunny suit like the Christmas Story one. . in the movie?" Yup, sure can. "for an 18 year old boy?". . .um. . .Ooookkkkkk. Are you sure, "Oh, Yes" are you sure he would wear it?
"Oh, Yes, definately!"
And here he is wearing it. I call this the "Pink Nightmare"

This was not a nightmare to make, I just stole the line from the movie when Ralphie comes downstairs and his dad says "He looks like a deranged Easter Bunny, he looks like a pink nightmare"

So with that in the hands of the customer I promptly made 5 pairs of flannel PJ bottoms for Cameron & Sarah. A set of PJ's for Kentucky/Korban & Joy. Three aprons as a joke for Sarah. Hemmed 4 pairs of pants for Aunt Carmon that brought them in her suitcase for her visit from Kansas city with us. Oh. . . and One apron for Aunt Carmon, One apron for her friend Mary and one apron for my cousin (her daughter) Monna.
So the total is
6 Aprons
5 Pants
4 Hems
3 Pajama sets
2 Christmas Hangings
and a Partridge in a Pear Tree.

Now to plan my next project. . .like cleaning my studio up. UGH. . .but I look at it as a treasure hunt. I never know what I might stumble upon when I clean house!
